Team Now Unofficially Tied for 5th in BITD Season TT Points Race

After the unofficial results following the BITD Silver State 300 race over the weekend, the #94 Strobel Motorsports team is now tied for 5th place overall in the Trophy Truck class.  Great job team...now we'll turn the focus on the Vegas-2-Reno race in August to keep climbing up the ladder!

Below are the very unofficial Best-In-The-Desert Results from Saturday's race.  This weekend's results will move the team up in BITD season points standings once official results are released.  Up next for the Strobel Motorsports #94 Ford Trophy Truck team is the BITD Vegas-2-Reno race in August.  Stay tuned for more team developments as the desert racing season rolls along.

Unofficial Finish: 4th in Trophy Truck, 9th Overall

The truck performed well and the pit stops were executed nicely today putting the Strobel truck in a solid 9th place preliminary overall finish.  Steve moved up 4 places from the original 13th starting spot and had just a single flat tire on the day.

Battling Bobby Baldwin for 9th Place at Race Midpoint

Steve and JT appear to be looking for a way around the #96 truck of Bobby Baldwin around race mile 175.  The Strobel race truck had a flat tire around RM 115 which allowed a couple of race cars to get by.  However, the truck looked good at the full fuel stop at Pit #3 and they continue to run a very quick race.

#94 Moves Up to 8th At Pit #2!

Driver Steve Strobel and Co-Driver John Tondro have moved up from their starting 13th position to 8th as the race cars came through Pit #2.  They've got a very good run going...now to just stay in that groove for the rest of the afternoon!

Steve Qualifies 13th Overall, 5th in Trophy Truck

The #94 Strobel Trophy Truck qualified in the top 15 with a solid 13th place qualifying run this afternoon.  The truck ran really well and did a great job for a qualifying track that favored the smaller, lighter Class 1 cars.

Pre BITD Race Testing Completed

Team Treks to Nevada for BITD Silver State 300 Saturday!

 

Getting there is MORE than half the fun for this team.  The long trip from the race shop to the desert is part of what must be conquered each race event.  This trip included the team transporter pushing through some snow and slush coming over the passes in Colorado. 

All is good and the team finished some preliminary testing of new gear and is now ready for a great qualifying run this afternoon, Thursday, 4/28!
