The race-dezert.com website now shows Steve leading the BITD Trophy Truck series points.  3 races in the books, with 2 more to go.  The team is now re-doubling efforts to finish the 2011 season strong.

V2R Championship Trophy!

Congrats again to Steve, Dale & JT as well as the entire crew.  It is finally sinking in that this team did in fact win the Longest Off-Road Race in the United States.

Here is the hardware to prove it!  What a terrific effort and a joyous feeling to come away overall winners.  Thanks again to all who put in many, many hours at the shop, testing, pre-race and in-race to help make this accomplishment possible.

Yes...We Made It!

It still hasn't quite sunk in yet.  Overall BITD Vegas To Reno off-road champions!  This was a major accomplishment and will move Steve forward a bit in the BITD season points race.

We can't thank the crew enough that helped and played a significant part to make this happen.  Way to go fellas!

Through the last Pit

The #94 just passed thru Weeks pit, RM 507.  Only 45 miles to go and it is going to be close.  BJ Baldwin is closing fast and the Freitas Class 1 car is also very close on adjusted time.  Strobel fans...keep your fingers and toes crossed!!!

Flat Tire at RM 461

The guys had a flat but JT jumped out and completed a quick change on the course to get moving again.  Come on baby...make it happen!

Still Charging Forward

The team completed the last scheduled pit stop at Gabbs race mile 416 and quickly moved beyond RM 445 reporting no issues.  We now have less than 100 miles to the finish line in Dayton.  Bring the #94 home boys!

Through Pit 11 - Still Moving Well

Team just passed through the Stinson Well pit and RM 400.  The race truck is now the first race vehicle on the race course with some cars further back in the field now starting to catch up on adjusted time.  Looks like this will be a drag race to the end folks. Geev em boys.

Through Race Mile 377

Steve & JT are through RM 377 and still moving forward well.  The race plan continues to run like clockwork to this point.  Come on boys...keep pushin!

Pit 7 Completed

The #94 truck continues to eat up the miles and is thru Pit 7 - race mile 259 clean and dry.  They did experience a flat tire at approximately RM 264 but are moving again.

2nd Fuel Stop Completed

Things continue to go smoothly thus far for the #94 truck. The team completed the 2nd full stop of the day in a record 51 seconds.  Steve jumped in and will hopefully take her home.  Great job Dale through that section

Thru Pit 5 - 1st TT on the Road

Race truck with Dale now at the wheel continues to charge forward.  We now believe we are the top Trophy Truck on the course and 2nd car overall.  We've finished up 200 of the 550 mile mission for the day.  Keep movin forward guys.

Race Truck is moving well and looked really good coming through Pit 3.  Next stop is Pit 4 where we plan to fuel, change 2 rear tires and change drivers.  Go Go Go!

Race Is Underway!

Team Dynoing and Testing in Vegas

The race team has transported the #94 race truck out to Vegas for final dyno'ing of the Kroyer engine at the Kroyer shop.  Steve and the crew will be doing some final testing just outside of Las Vegas Monday and Tuesday as well and then will settle in at race HQ at the Aliante Station for final prep and Qualifying on Wednesday followed by Contingency Thursday with the race going off Friday at approx. 9:30am Pacific Time.  Check back often this week to keep posted on race activities as well as on race day for live race tracking.
